Eco-Cashmere Our regenerated cashmere yarn is made in Italy from the industrial excesses of cashmere fibers. To the touch, it is warm, soft and cozy, just like virgin cashmere, but differently from the latter, it comes with a wildly lower cost to the environment. On average, it takes four goats to produce enough yarn to make a single cashmere sweater. The goats – raised in Mongolia – graze on grasslands that face the threat of climate change, and growers, pressured to favor quantity over quality, are making choices that further desertificate and damage the area. To prevent environmental degradation, we decided to adopt regenerated cashmere, which has a 92% reduction in environmental impact when compared to virgin cashmere.
